Halda part of A Swedish space odyssey
For more than fifty years, Sweden has been part of the global space elite with contributions ranging from technology, innovations and research – ever since the first shuttle was launched into space. Halda Watch Co has been a proud member of this limited space society since the NASA STS-128 mission in 2009 when the first prototype of the Space Discovery was put to extreme tests – a mission which was successful on all levels.
To celebrate Swedish partaking in the space-age, National Property Board Sweden in collaboration with Swedish Exhibition Agency will exhibit everything from the smallest rocket engine made to the Hasselblad camera used on the first moon landing. The exhibition A Swedish Space Odyssey takes place during October 6th to 28th of February at the Embassy of Sweden in Washington D.C. and the first Halda watch in space – the Space Discovery Limited Edition, will of course be a part of the exhibition.
